For those of you just joined us - here's a summary of this morning...

He's not got money.
You don't know whether you love him or not.
If the relationship ended, how upset would you be (scale of 1 to 10, 1 being "who?" and 10 being "I'll never love again")?Originally posted by cailin maith View PostScale of 1 to 10 - maybe a 6 - I think I might have been falling for him, but again not sure!!Originally posted by cailin maith View PostWell, sister doesn't get on with him, but...Originally posted by cailin maith View PostStilted conversation and a bit of ignoring each other...
He doesn't undersatnd why she doesn't like him and she thinks he is not good enough!Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI wonder whether that could be part of the problem - not taking him home when Dad was in hospital may have inadvertatly sent a message.
Did he offer to go back?

I know that if I was in that situation, I would want to be there as support. Not knowing what had happened, I would expect a partner to be there to help me through it.
BUT - since he's not met the family, maybe he was thinking that this wasn't the right time or place, and wasn't sure that he would be welcome as a potential "outsider". Maybe he wanted to offer, but didn't want to be "rejected".
Originally posted by cailin maith View PostSee thats what I am afraid of - there hasn't been enough of that for me at all!!!Originally posted by zeitghostI, on the other hand, am old & nearly shagged out... now where did I put those little blue pills?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI tried some of those once.
Made no difference whatsoever.
I was most disappointed - it meant that we had to finish after only three hours.Originally posted by Bear View PostI have to be honest here - Whenever I've been (or known someone) in a situation where they have questions over whether this is 'the one' - then invariably they are not 'the one'.
The question wouldn't even raise itself.
You say you're getting older - then life is too short. Move on, the right one is out there (probably a bit further south and wearing a red jumpsuit )

Congrats, Carling
Sorry, but I don't have time today to give you any useful advice about the other matter, although a single 45 year old male isn't necessarily the best person to give advice about relationships anywayComment
