    Morning denizens

About half-an-hour ago there was a thin patch in the cloud towards the east through which the sun, though not visible as such, was able to cast a bright diffuse light. But this mistake has been corrected, and it’s now uniformly grey with a shower spitting light rain, and potentially more to come. It’s also expected to be quite windy. It’s currently 6°C (“feels like” -1°) and expected to reach 10°, and the barometers are down to 1009/1017mB

I awoke too early this morning, but only because the alarm went off at the usual time but they pulled the rug under the usual time to an earlier position. I was greatly tempted to just go back to sleep, but managed to force myself out of bed on the basis that I might as well get used to it, because they’re not correcting the situation until October

CBS, etc, although with the time change, the sun was still asleep when we went out. Lovely morning though.

Time for all the new tax year planning, that I should really have done weeks ago, but never mind.

        Morning.

        Monday.

        Damp.

        Wanly sunny.

Grey with spots of blue sky.

Chilly in here at 13.7 deg, 12? in the kitchen, 11 in the leanto.

1021.5 mBar, 30.165 in Hg, 766.2 Torr, 14.82 psi, (up from 1018 last night), 62% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 22nd of March 2020 BR14, LM, NF, LM, AndyGarbs and quackhandle popped in.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away. Very busy in there this morning.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: R4 thing about Bosnia. Thing about radio astronomy. Techy stuff: makes a change.

Shopping trip to Aldi and Tesco: only just had enough cash on me for that: done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

By the time I returned I'd raised a fair old sweat.

Now recovering by getting outside a mug of mediocre yet consistent coffee.

Tea: chicken in white sauce etc. Nice enough. Entertainment: PM.

Skinwalker ranch bollox on Blaze. The Truth is in that mesa. They shot a rocket in the air & it stuck. . Plus the "wolf" carcass they found decaying in the stream turned out to have 11% DNA from canids not found in north America, the remaining 89% being totally unidentifiable. The lower jaw bone matches that of a young dire wolf: something that went extinct 12,000 years ago. Cue X Files music.

NCIS S22 E11 "For better or worse". Well that was worse: shoot the writers FFS.

Last bit of Panorama about XL bullies. Shoot the things FFS, though it took 10 rounds to off one (presumably of 9x19).

Last bit of part 1 of a thing about peat on BBC Alba. I'd forgotten (or never knew) that there were peat fuelled power stations in Ireland. And in Finland. 'Tis odd to watch a programme where the normal speech is in Scot Gaelic which is then replaced by Finnish that's equally incomprehensible without the subtitles.

          Morning all

Cloudy earlier which has mostly cleared, leaving occasional lumps of fluff. Currently 9 degrees ('feels like' 6) with a high of 12 expected. Cloud may return later with a chance of rain. Barometer down to 1023 mBar.

          Sunrise 06:41; Sunset 19:31 BST

Dropped yea olde jalopy at the garage for its annual service. Not expecting any horrors to come of that.

An easy enough time beckons at the various coal faces today.

            Good morning all,

Wind 12 kt from the West/Northwest
            Temperature 9°C
            Humidity 81%
            Pressure 1026 hPa
            Visibility 10 km or more
Few clouds at a height of 2200 ft
Broken clouds at a height of 2800 ft

Went for an excellent walk in the beacons on Sat so decidedly achy today. Washing machine has started to make a god awful racket when it enters the spin cycle so that can't be good.

Lunch has been a leftover pork cutlet in a wholemeal bap with apple sauce

Very changeable weather today. It keeps going extremely gloomy, then turning sunny, then back again. It’s actually starting to look rather Simpsonesque at the moment, but will it last?

Another day done; three days to Easter

The weather continues to take a constantly changing variety of forms. Something for everyone!

Tea has been toad in the hole with onion gravy. Made a nice change

This was accompanied by a bit of the motorway-adjacent cops plus dashcam clips programme

                      Morning all

Overcast, but dry here. Warmer than the last couple of mornings.
Is it just me or is Globle (country version) down? I can get into the cities one, but not the countries, where I was up to 199 wins.

In other news, the gardener turned up yesterday (supposed to be once a month but he seems to be coming every other week), so the greenhouse has been emptied, cleaned and tidied up.
