Busy morning. Meetings plus car body shop research. In checking my car today, the damage isn't as bad as I'd feared. There's no dents or holes, just a nasty scrape. I took the car down to a garage just 10 mins away (convenient for drop off / pick up compared to the place that did all the work last year). They quoted £564 including VAT which is about what my excess is so, regardless of whether I get stiffed by the Uber driver, I'll get it done. That includes a full valet, which is almost worth it on its own
When work was done, or rather the time during which it was supposed to be done had passed, I popped round to the chemist for the usual monthly stuff. I find it hard to believe it’s been four weeks since the last time, but the broken foil on the blister packs tells the story. Time seems to be whizzing by at the moment
Once home with that lot, I set a wholemeal loaf to baking. I’ve been meaning to make one, and forgetting, since early last week
Cloudy start, and still a bit of a breeze. It’s going to be milder though: already at 9°C (“feels like” 3°) and soaring to 15° this afternoon. It’s supposed to get sunny, too. The barometers are trivially up at 1001/1009mB
I can hear the sound of bins being done; probably recycling, from the occasional clanking sounds. They’ve been coming later in the day during the winter months, but seem to have gone back to early starts now
Speaking of early starts, it’s now getting light early enough that I half-awoke several times in the hour before the alarm was due to go off, checked the time, and went back to sleep. I’m going to have to start closing the blind fully again, while vaguely thinking about getting curtains then doing nothing about it, as I’ve done around this time for the past three years
I see NCP is up the creek. I used to use the non-NCP car park at Bloomsbury Square when going down to London because it was safe and secure. Then NCP bought them out, and the last time I checked the reviews, they’re full of people whose cars have been broken into. One guy even described how it worked: the car park attendants were collaborating with a gang and would let them in through the security gates when they wanted to plunder the place. Whenever people tried to get CCTV off NCP, it “hadn’t been working”, and it was clear NCP didn’t give a damn. And that’s why I’ve never parked at Bloomsbury Square since they bought it
Chilly in here at 13.8 deg, 12? in the kitchen, 11 in the leanto.
1008.5 mBar, 29.78 in Hg, 756.44 Torr, 14.63 psi, (down from 1010 last night), 66% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 20th of March 2020 AndyGarbs, BR14, Brillo, LM popped in, whilst NF watched the last customers leave the Polish Cafe for the duration, and BR14 had some sort of gig and burned Bunter in effigy if I've interpreted him correctly and I watched Mad Max 2.
Dull. Overcast. Currently 11 degrees ('feels like' 9) with a high of 13 expected. Currently dry, looks like it will rain but the forecast reckons the sun will come out later. Barometer steady at 1016 mBar.

Today will be mostly spent arranging meetings with lots of people at gig3 to gather requirements.
Refuse and food waste collections today. At least one of those has been done, judging by the noise.
