Morning.
Saturday.
Dry.
Grey.
Sunless.
Dreary.
Chilly in here at 17 deg, 17 in the kitchen, 16 in the leanto.
1029 mBar, 30.39 in Hg, 771.9 Torr, 14.93 psi, (up a tad from last night), 66% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 22nd of February 2020 Brillo and BR14 popped in, NF forewent scrabbling behind the telly due to a complaining back, and I watched Death Wish III and IV.
Walk (towpath, unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: if there was any I didn't find it.
Freecell score: 88%, running average: 84%.
Yet more welding. I used to be rather good at this. 40 years ago. 4 years ago I was capable of stick welding an exhaust pipe back together. This fecking gate repair: no chance.
So lots and lots of practice this afternoon to my hand in again, lots of rods that are way past their best so laying down weld like a good un. Using 2mm rods this afternoon. Maybe keeping them under the stairs wasn't the bestest of ideas.
.
Tea: soup, being knackered from the afternoon's exertions. Entertainment: PM.
Pink Floyd "A Delicate Sound of Thunder" on Sky Arts.
A look at life: Gold. A look at the gold in the Bank of England that the diptulip Brown sold.
In 1961 gold was £13/oz. £420/kg. And the gold in a sovereign was worth £3.
A kg of gold is now £96,901. Such are the vagaries of a fiat currency.
Maigret "The winning ticket (1961)". I wasn't word perfect on that one: must have missed it on previous showings.
Pink Floyd "The endlessdrone river". <click>.
Freecell score: 100%, running average: 84%.
Pink Floyd in Pompeii (1972). Stone me they look young. I watched this in the Odeon Swansea in the 1970s. I'd never heard most of it before.
