Volunteery thing at local nature reserve this morning, quite nice. Bleedin' tired this afternoon.

Morning denizens
Sunny start out today, though the open sky means it's a bit colder at 2°C ("feels like" -1°) with an expected high of 8°. The barometers are bouncing back at 1006/1014mBComment

Morning all
CBS and 4C when out on our perambulation, but it wasn't raining, so that's a good start. My boots that I wore yesterday morning are still drying out.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Morning.
Thursday judging by the empty recycling containers outside the gate.
Dry.
Wanly sunny in a grey sort of way.
Chilly in here at 12.5 deg, 11 deg in the kitchen, 9.5 deg in the leanto.
1017.5 mBar, 30.05 in Hg, 763.2 Torr, 14.7575 psi, (up from 1011 last night), 62% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 28th of December 2019 LM was catching up on some work and BR14 made a contribution to the thread, either for a pali or a zen chury, it being difficult to tell.
Woken at 05:30 by one of the smoke detectors going off: disappointingly enough, the house wasn't burning down and I spasmed my back getting up to check.
I dreamed of my little black Fiat Seicento. I liked that car.
Trip down to the barber, duly shorn.
Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: The Bottom Line (calm down xogg).
Freecell score: 82%, running average: 81%. Well it's better than 50%..
Tea: beans on toast with boiled eggs etc. Fibre fibre & more fibre..
Would have helped if I'd remembered the boiled eggs. Never mind, they were nice enough on their own.
Entertainment: PM. <click> Waiting for the Orange Moron to greet our Moron.
If it's anything like last Thursday there's nowt to watch on the idiot lantern again.
"War: would the UK be ready?" on ITV.
"In search ofs" bollox on Blaze.
"The Man Who Never Was (1956)". Operation Mincemeat.
"The proof is out there" bollox on Blaze.
The Directors: Sidney Lumet on Sky Arts.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 27 February 2025, 21:54.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Morning all
Blue sky with occasional wispy fluff. Currently 7 degrees ('feels like' 4) with a high of 9 expected. Barometer up to 1020 mBar.
Sunrise 06:50; Sunset 17:38
Whilst I do disagree with tinkering with the clocks every six months, at this time of year having the sun rise before 8am is wasted on me
Didn't want to get out of bed this morning but billing needs to be done and, for that to happen, I need to at least make some effort. At dinner with a friend on Tuesday evening we discussed menopause symptoms and it seems I really ought to see if my GP will prescribe some oestrogen cream to help me regain some of my will to function.Comment

As for your other stuff, my wife had patches that seemed to work, although there were issues with the supply of them, something to do with the B word.

Lunch has been a roast beef bap with a bag of plain crisps
I had quite an enjoyable morning. Something was broken and I was able to sort it out with a judicious combination of reading stack traces all the way to the bottom (something many people don't seem to do, which is odd as that's where the root of the problem is revealed), delving into the code of an open source library on GitHub, and analysing the existing app configuration to identify what needed to be changedComment

Sad news... I was up over 1% on Scrambled Maps and decided I should log in with a throwaway email to make sure I saved my progress.
I must have clicked something wrong as part of that. My progress is back to 0.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
