Tea: chicken casserole with chips and peas

I need to make more chicken casserole as that was the last of it. Though first I need to use up some of the other stuff in the freezer so there's room for it

Telly has been Forensics: The Real CSI S2E6, Standard of Evidence

          Nice not-far-off-full moon outside

Early night now, in the vague hope that I manage another early walk tomorrow. Not only does it mean I can get the recycling bin in when I get back, it also means I don't have to bother going for a walk later

          Goodnight all

            Morning denizens

Sunny out, but strained through a high haze with bits of cloud here and there at a lower level. Currently 16°C with a very light, refreshing breeze through the window from time to time, and not supposed to get beyond 25°; barometers down at 1012/1020mB

I really like the sound of Chinooks. When I lived over Blackheath/Lewisham way, we used to get pairs of them coming over every now and then.

Always my favourite part of the formation when you have fly pasts over the palace too.

                Morning all

Much cooler today, phew! Cloudy but it looks thin as I can see bits of blue too. Currently 18 degrees with a high of 24 later. Rain expected this evening (and thunderstorms tomorrow ). Barometer down to 1020 mBar.

Rubbish night's sleep again. It will be a multiple coffee morning I think. HMWBO and his kids return from their trip to Cardiff later today. Serenity ends some time after 6.30pm. Out for Korean BBQ for dinner IIRC.

                Today's Kantar diary fact is:
England beat India by 9 runs in the final of the Women's Cricket World Cup at Lord's in London 2017

Walk briskly walked, green ring closed

The recycling binfolk were just doing the bins as I was heading out, so I waited while they emptied ours and got the inwards trundle done before setting off

Getting a bit cloudier out there now, which is good because it's still only 17°C so there isn't much heat to trap yet. The anticipated sunny spells have been downgraded to partly cloudy spells, and the maximum temperature expected is down to 24°

I might start getting some work done in a bit

Got to say, the diary people's choice of facts isn't what I'd go for. Today's also the anniversary of the first transatlantic TV transmission, the Gimli Glider, and the discovery of Comet Hale-Bopp, all of which seem a bit more interesting than the result of a cricket match four years ago. But maybe that's just me

But thank you for posting them. As they say, those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it
