              I will certainly ask the question. They usually burn down for insurance purposes so one wonders if perhaps the insurance companies are on to this and have requested extra measures.

                  Not as far north, but I noticed a bar by the railway station here was fully boarded up when I went past there while the car was having its wheels attended to the other day. Didn’t spot any other examples as I ambled through the city centre though.

                  I quite liked the notice in the window of one fast food place (a local one, not a chain): “We are closed for an indefinite period”
