    Morning all
    Clear blue skies and pleasant out on the walk earlier. Had an early start as The Wife (tm) had to go to an emergency meeting up north (Buckinghamshire) which meant she got up at 5.30am Can’t say what the meeting is about, but there are threads on here concerning the topic. (but also )

    I’m off to the consultant shortly to find out what he wants to do to my jawbone. Not looking forward to that. It’s on company time, so not all bad.
    …Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

      available this weeklend at an airport near you!

      She realised the level they were at when they refused to eat their lunch, so she put it on a spoon and said “here’s the airplane coming in to land”, and they looked at her, confused.

          I was telling someone they have to follow a multi-stage process to output a report, and after each stage they're asking what is being produced as they haven't twigged that they are doing the enabling / prep before anything can be produced. After showing them the final stages, where they had to check the output, they then said "does this produce an Excel spreadsheet?" To which I said "other than the one we've just worked through?"

            Morning all.

            Currently dry as in no torrential precipitation or murrain of beasts, unlike overnight.

            Sunny.

            Windy.

            Blue sky turning white.

            Apparently Thursday.

            <hiatus>

            High tide was at 08:10 this morning so the marsh was covered in water again.

            I'm sure they should build houses on it.

            <hiatus>

            And now it's raining.

            The sky has gone that inneresting dark grey colour that generally bodes so well.

                The government’s “plan” was:
                Contain
                Delay
                Mitigate

                Contain was supposed to cover until Easter, by which time everything would be fine, we’d have maybe 10 deaths, which is considered acceptable and insignificant in % terms.
                Delay would kick in after that.
                Mitigate was named but not detailed.

                One of the biggest employers in the world is holding meeting excluding Cummings’ government to come up with a workable plan and review models.

                BTW, has anyone else noticed how low a profile Cummings is keeping these days - there’s trouble in the country and he’s gone into hiding with JRM?

                  Morning denizens

                  Grey, overcast sort of day; the wind got strong again and remains whooshy, and it’s only 6°C

                  Lurgy is feeling rather better, and my temperature appears to be coming down, so there’s that

                      Or the government has chosen not to attend so they can, at some later date when the carts are trundling through the streets bearing corpses off to the plague pits, tell the chapbook writers “Not our fault, they didn’t involve us in the planning”
