To Rugby - a place I've driven through once or twice, but never visited in the sense of stopping the car and getting out.
The bit I just visited consists entirely of a ring road and several retail parks
I was going to Maplin Electronics to get a wonderfully Heath Robinson device which was out of stock at their shop here. It's an electronic timer that slots over a normal light switch and uses a small electric motor to drive a wheel up and down over the switch, thus turning the light off and on
My all-electronic timer switch seems to have been sending a nasty spike down the line which caused the uplighter I had it connected to to burn out its bulbs (actually not bulbous - linear halogen things) at an alarming rate. Hopefully this more electromechanical approach to automated illumination control will save me a few bobComment
