Well that answers that question:
SF novel from 1970ish about an African American who travels forward in time and gets stuck

That's been bugging me for a while now.Comment

Apparently the football folk have officially won their thing
Just heard some fireworks from nearby, and there are a number of vehicles honking their horns as they travel up the road outside, sometimes with cheering from the occupants.
But I daresay they have work in the morning so it won't go on too lateComment

The next one is the question of who wrote the story of the Postman at Hiroshima/Nagasaki who was transported hence before the bomb dropped by time travellers/aliens/what have you.
Still haven't found that one.
He's stuck somewhere out of time begging for alms.Comment

The story I'm referring to is probably an SF short story or novella that I read 40 some years ago, back when I read such things avidly.
I'm quite pleased that I finally found the Quiet Sun thing at long last. It's probably on a bookshelf here somewhere.
It has touches of Clifford Simak to it. Maybe one of his short stories.Comment
