Stone me, I've just found Stan the Pole.
He worked with ZeitPater in Neath in the 1950s.
He's (allegedly) still around at 96.
Walked across bits of Eurasia & joined the RAF in the last great unpleasantness.
Saw him on a documentary on the Beeb(?) about 10 or so years ago.
Now I know how to spell his name correctly.
Taken fecking months, this has.
By one of those coincidences, he worked with a mate of mine at Morris Motors in Llanelli.
And was famed for doing 3 men's jobs (being a Pole & more concerned with doing his work than drinking tea.
).
Made him ever so popular in the 60s & 70s I'd have thunk.
He's listed in
https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/.../2496/data.pdf
if you know where to look.

Well in other other news, I just found an external hard disk drive for the Amstrad PPC640.
It was made by Cumana, and is the CPH30.
It still works and has MSDOS 3.3 with some program called "Windows" on it.
Apparently it's this "Windows" version 1.03.

It'll never catch on.Comment
