While preparing for the second water butt on the summerhouse, following a quip trip to Screwfix as I needed 5 gutter brackets and a 10 pack was cheaper from them than 5 individuals from their sister company, B&Q, I managed to have a slight mishap involving the sharp corner of some guttering and the back of my left hand. Still got a couple of pints of blood left in me.

Just when I thought the Careless People of Facebook couldn't get any worse, they get so very, very much worse

Two more days! Loads of Teams meetings in them, mind; but I suppose it helps pass the time

          Goodnight all

            Morning denizens

Grey day with overnight drizzle which I believe has only just stopped - the weather app thinks it's still going, but it wasn't when I stuck my head out of the bedroom window just now. Mild though, and getting quite warm later: 16°C now, 23° predicted. The barometers are steady at 1007/1015mB

A pleasant 10,000 step walk earlier with a few light clouds that are now burning off.

                Morning.

                Wednesday.

                Dry.

                Grey.

                Wanly sunny.

Cool in here at 20.7 deg, 22 in the kitchen, 20 in the leanto.

1014 mBar, 29.94 in Hg, 760.6 Torr, 14.71 psi, (up from 1013 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Someone just plugged sommat in next door.

Meanwhile on the 4th of February 2020 Brillo, BR14, NF, LM and xogg popped in, while NF roasted A Big Chicken.

Freecell score: 100%, running average: 83%.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the photography thing. Y&Y <click>

I wonder what the remainder of the afternoon will bring.

Minor potching with the moving iron ammeter, then more minor potching in the garage.

Not much ooomph in any of it today.

Now getting outside the usual mediocre but consistent mug of coffee.

Discovered why the coleslaw seemed so indifferent: it's low fat FFS. Another purchasing disaster.

Tea: battered haddock etc. Nice enough.

Entertainment: PM <click> Book. Other book.

Waiting for some contract extension paperwork. Doing some general faffing about. A bit under the weather today.

                    Lunch: chicken bits

Neverending meetings this morning, and more this afternoon! But one of this morning's was the go/no-go for decommissioning the last service from the old platform. It was a go so that project - or my involvement with it, at least - is finally, officially, done!

The Wife has just suggested I walk to a pub tonight so we can drop off some figs.
I'll walk with The Dog, and about an hour after I leave, she'll drive with the figs, and then drive us home again after a liquid refreshment.
