    Morning.

    Friday.

Hope the fig tree is potted. .

    Damp verging on drizzly.

    Grey.

    Wanly sunny.

Cool in here at 21.8 deg, 22.5 in the kitchen, 21 in the leanto.

1007.5 mBar, 29.75 in Hg, 755.7 Torr, 14.6 psi, (down from 1008 last night), 69% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 2nd of February 2020 Scruff, BR14, and Brillo popped in, NF popped into the Chinese, LM was watching "Dracula" E1, and I was watching "Entrapment" on a newly acquired dvd despite apparently having watched quite recently.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: The Food Programme: just covered the End of Days/End of Civilisation shotgun approach to things. .

    Rebecca Stott thing at 11:45.

No doubt there's some tedious AntiSocial thing on after the noon o'clock news.

More minor potching in the garage followed by minor "gardening": i.e. cutting the fecking brambles back again, it being at least a week since the last time I did so.

Hannah Fry waffling on about some chap who figured out how to use bots to game some dating site or other in SepticLand.

Thing about peace. As if. Open the pod bay doors, HAL. Not nearly as good as the Anthony Smith's Sideways Look At series of yore.

Tea: chicken in white sauce etc. Easier to get down one's neck made this way. Which is good.

Entertainment: PM. Seldom Glummer came on: <click>

    Different UFO bollox: <click>

Neil Oliver waffling on about the Iron Age.

    Dalgliesh S3 E3, 4. "Cover her face".

Foyle's War S2 E1. I wonder who's in this one: can it rival The 10th Doctor, Marvin the Paranoid Android, Inspector Thursday, and DCS Bright? Only time will tell. And time said no. Didn't remember this one at all. Maybe I missed it first time through. Was singing "Who do you think you're kidding Mr Hitler" at one point.

One of them is, but due to lack of water, it's only got a couple of fruit on it. The one in the ground is a lot more productive, no matter how much I hack it back each year.

        Morning denizens

Cloudy with gaps today, so the sun is coming and going; it's out at the moment. I think there were some light showers last night. It's going to be a warm one, though not brutally so: already at 22°C and heading up to 25° during mid-afternoon. The barometers are down to 1001/1008mB

I know! It's on my list of things I need to learn how to make

            Afternoon all

Sunny with lumps of fluff. Currently 25 degrees with a high of 29 expected. Cloud cover set to increase as the day progresses. Barometer down to 1013 mBar.

            Sunrise 05:06; Sunset 21:09 BST

Yesterday I opted to go to bed rather than wait for the WM to finish its doings. Towels draped over the airer first thing this morning while the coffee machine was waking up.

Also yesterday, I walked up to Waitrose to pick up a John Lewis order. I had a few groceries to buy so decided to pick those up before 'checking in' for my collection. Completely forgot about the collection and headed straight home instead. Now I have to walk back up there today. Ah well, gets me out of the house. I might go soon actually.

                Afternoon people

Another hot one here, 25.7 deg indoors... Hoping for rain later tonight / early tomorrow.

Started researching the various new weather-station options.

Nothing worth applying for on Linked In.

Dusted, vac'd and mopped the house. Washing done ready to hang out.

What an exciting life I currently lead

We have the older version of this, and it has done a good job: https://www.weathershop.co.uk/bresse...tation-7002586

Lunch was a couple of the spicy chicken thighs from the other night. Eating them cold, I concluded that the spice mix I concocted perhaps isn't that nice after all

But I had a bag of plain crisps to go with them, which were nice

I just had an email from him asking me to check again as he's pushed a few more changes, and I was able to confirm that both the square and hex grids are now behaving correctly
