    Morning denizens

Sunny start to what's expected to be a warmer day as we build up to excessive heat towards the end of the week. Currently a mild 13°C and getting up to 21° later, so not too bad. The barometers are up again at 1005/1013mB

      Morning all
CBS etc. Going to be a hot one in the dust bowl. Tonight I will either be picking plums, or cleaning the now dry pond.

        Morning.

        Tuesday.

        Dry.

        Wanly sunny.

Cool in here at 20.0 deg, 20.5 in the kitchen, 19.5 in the leanto.

1013 mBar, 29.91 in Hg, 759.8 Torr, 14.69 psi, (up from 1011 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 30th of January 2020 there was much discussion of jams and conserves, wattaj popped in, LM popped in, Brillo popped in, NF popped in, and I got wet walking home from the library and had spag bol for lunch (which seems a bit odd but there you go).

        Freecell score: dire. Gave up.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: the thing about the secret painter chap.

More minor potching in the garage with added 5* wood treatment stuff. Feeling really odd now. .

Now getting outside a mug of mediocre coffee to see if that helps.

Getting warm out there now & hot in the garage.

Tea: Tesco battered haddock. Nice enough despite a tad of over cooking due to neglect.

        Entertainment: PM. <click>.

Other other other other other book: done. Managed 30 pages or so of the Le Carre.

        Nothing on the idiot lantern.

Freecell score: 76% FFS. Running average: 83%.

              Morning all

Sunny, blue sky with lumps of fluff. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 23 expected. Barometer up to 1017 mBar.

              Sunrise 04:54; Sunset 21:18 BST

There was some very heavy rain in the wee hours which kept me awake.

Radio 4 was blathering on about something to do with today being a short day. Not in terms of daylight hours but due to the spin of the earth and it's relative position to the sun at the moment. Or something like that anyway. They got Dr Hannah Fry in to talk about it.

Lunch: leftover pork cutlet in a wholemeal bap with apple sauce

Yesterday's wholemeal loaf turned out OK, albeit not quite perfect, judging by this morning's toast. Still, breadmaking appears to be akin to alchemy in many respects, judging by the arcane knowledge shared online. I daresay I'll manage to improve it with a bit of fiddling around

It clouded over for a bit earlier but it's quite sunny and Simpsonesque now

going through 'app' after 'app' to disable fecking copilot.
                  grrrrrrrrrrr.
I wouldn't mind if these so called AI's were customisable to suit one's working practices, but they're NOT!.

Was inspecting the pond earlier and lifting out some of the plants when The Wife made a very sensible suggestion, That I could put the plants in the water feature* at the bottom of the garden. 2 wheelbarrow runs later and most of them are down there.

*it's a child's sand pit/paddling pool that had been shoved into a hedge by the previous owners, possibly to keep their dogs from escaping.

Not sure if it works with other "AI", but certainly with Google, all you need to do is insert a swear word into your search, and hey-presto, no AI result.
