Sunny and cloudy and windy out; and we had rainy overnight, so that's almost all the weather! A milder day today, being 13°C now (though it "feels like" 8° with this wind) and a high of just 19°. The barometers are hanging around at 999/1007mB
Gaw! You do get around lm. Wish I still did, only been to IOW in last 2 years. Used to spend me time hitchiking round Europe once including USSR. Lived in Oz for a while. Lots of business trips too, Pittsburg, Moscow, Medan, Singapore, Oslo and somewhere in Switzerland, forget where.
Temperature 25.8 °C
Humidity 64%
Pressure 980 hPa
Expected high, 29. Yesterday we were at 34. Anything above 30 is too hot. Did I mention we're hoping to go to Mississippi in July? Thankfully, they mostly have aircon.
Warmish side of cool in here at 21.2 deg, 21.5 in the kitchen, 19.5 in the leanto, 15.5 outside.
1008.5 mBar, 29.78 in Hg, 756.44 Torr, 14.627 psi, (up from 1005 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 26th of January 2020 BR14 popped in, Brillo popped in, NF reckoned he ought to walk to the shops more often, Vera was watched by one or two, NF was cooking a casserole & was tempted to eat it straight away rather than allowing the flavours to develop overnight.
One observes from that historical document "CUK Book Club" that I read "One Girl's War" back in the halcyon days of January 2025, with it now residing in the Oxfam bookshop.
Other literary references include "Spies" by Michael Frayn wherein the protagonist is reminded by the smell of privet flowers of his early life in WWII Engerland. I'm reminded that I'm allergic to the pong every time I walk past an overgrown hedge down the road.
Lunch: brunch.
Entertainment: Captain Steeeeve waffling on about the India crash.
My half of the front hedge trimmed: the other half will be a lot taller shortly, the little hedge also trimmed.
More potching of the minor sort in the garage. Found some more RadComs that will be off to recycling on Thursday*, which wasn't what it said on the label on the box but there you go.
*They didn't since I couldn't be arsed.
Due to lack of interest only spent an hour down there today, it's quite good with the newly installed lights.
Entertainment: PM. It went <click> when electricity prices & the Green Crap came up. Thankfully not Bacon Sandwich Man or it would have gone <click> a fecking sight faster.
Weatherman walking: Culver Hole, Port Eynon, Gower, Tintern Abbey, Caerphilly to Castell Coch.
Skinwalker Ranch twaddle: I think this is the final ep of this series. No doubt more rockets & more "UFOs". If they keep going they'll raise something nasty . Turned out to be a clip show x2. "Behind the gates".
Thing about Merthyr Tidfil: the boom town & how it changed the world**.
** Thought it seemed familiar: it was a repeat from the previous week.
Cloudy with patches of blue. Some of the clouds look a bit grey. Windy. Currently 21 degrees ('feels like' 24) with a high of 22 expected. Low chance of precipitation. Barometer still at 1014 mBar.
Sunrise 04:44; Sunset 21:23 BST
A bit of a faffy day so far. I was supposed to go to ClientCo's office but decided to stay in bed a while longer instead.

I have 4 gooseberries on my potted gooseberry bush. How do I know when they are ready to pick? Not sure what to do with such a bountiful harvest.
Are they red or yellow? The red ones are sweeter than the yellow ones, maximum sweetness when they're nearly black.
Yellow are rather more meh in my experience.
There's a shedload of lovely looking red ones next door but I'm trying not to steal them.
When fully ripe they tend to fall off the plant.
Fantastic crop this year, can't remember a year like it, though the selfplanted bushes up by the salting house have still managed to get mildew on the berries.
The bushes in next door's garden were all planted by my grandfather knocking on for a century ago. Amazing that they're still so healthy though some have died.

I'm guessing yellow although they're more green in colour at the moment. It's the first time the bush has fruited since being potted up. Maybe I'll leave them there in case any passing wildlife / insect gets the munchies.
