    Morning all
Overcast and very muggy earlier, but the sky is clearing.
With the usual efficiency of MPB, I had a "follow up" email from them last night about 2 lenses I had asked them to offer me a price for. Their online form takes several clicks to fill out, while I had a full list of gear as a document. This morning, in reply to their email, I have cut and pasted my text into the email to let them price it all up.

Thanks to ladymuck I have now been able to finish a few countries/states where I was down to one city, but couldn't find it. Currently at 19.2%. Yes, I know I'm only doing 6x3, but I'm switching between playing on an iPad and a phone, and any more tiles than 6x3 is a bit much on a phone screen.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Nice evening, and we appear to have some newly-fledged blackbirds out there! The parents still seem to be showing them the ropes on the lawn; I don't know how long that carries on for

I started developing a sore throat towards the end of the afternoon. I thought it might just be because I've been working with somebody else for much of the day and therefore talking more than usual, but I think not. I can only conclude that some foul lurgy has been transmitted to me while I was at the optician's. Further proof that one shouldn't go anywhere, or at least not anywhere that people are

However, I'd also left the bed to air, so I've just had to make that while I still could. At least I have somewhere comfortable to be ill in now

Pointless trip to town today. Was gonna get a copy of a key cut and then found I'd left it at home. And WH Smiths had no mixed media art paper. Difficult to get anything there anyway, so many shops closed. Mainly charity shops, phone shops, barbers and nail bars left now.

Tonight's major motion picture premiere was Mona Lisa (1986). I'd been meaning to watch this for years but somehow never got around to it. Then a film account on Bluesky mentioned it earlier, which prompted me to check where it was available - and it turned out All4 had it for one more day! As it was unclear whether this meant today was the one day or it includes tomorrow, I figured I'd better watch it tonight. Very good, albeit pretty bleak throughout. Lots of it was shot around Soho, so it also serves as an interesting reminder of just how utterly seedy it was there in the mid-1980s. Plenty of bleakness round the back of King's Cross in there, too; the director used real prostitutes working in the area in the various scenes shot round there

With luck the lurgy won't get too much worse overnight, as I've got to go to Big Sainsbury's tomorrow

                      Goodnight all
