MS wants us to put all our personal stuff on their fecking servers
    Eh, what's that about?

Long group walk and one of the ladies I know quite well collapsed with pain in her leg. She's off to hospital.

Yes, they want to force everyone who has windoze to use a Microsoft account to log into your pc with, no more local accounts that don't need an internet connection

Tonight's viewing was the latest episode of the Blackburn Hospital emergency surgery thing on 4

And in Story of a Murder, Crippen and Ethel Le Neve have been tried separately; him for murder etc. and her for assisting him. Crippen was found guilty after the jury had deliberated for a mere twenty-seven minutes. But the Crown didn't bother presenting much of a case against Ethel, dismissing her as a silly little girl who'd been led astray, and her brief went along with this. As a result, she got a not guilty verdict in just twenty minutes!

In reality, though she may not have helped plan or execute the murder (and it's possible she knew about it in advance), there seems little doubt that she knew exactly what was going on afterwards, and was happy to take full advantage of the situation

Anyway, Crippen has been hanged in Pentonville, just three-quarters of a mile from the scene of the crime.

            Thursday tomorrow!

            Goodnight all

              Morning denizens

Another sunny, if slightly hazy, start; today should see the highest high of the current warm spell, being 13° already and on its way to 24°. The barometers are down a little more at 1006/1014mB though, presaging the Bank Holiday weekend weather which will be somewhat cooler: a high of just 11°C expected by Sunday

                  Morning.

                  Thursday.

                  Sunny.

                  Blue sky.

Almost not chilly in here at 18.2 deg, 19 in the kitchen, 17 in the leanto, 15 in the saltinghouse (it was 28 in there yesterday afternoon).

1012.5 mBar, 29.899 in Hg, 759.44 Torr, 14.685 psi, (down from 1015 last night if I remembered to tap which, considering I left the kitchen light on, maybe I didn't), 66% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 13th of January 2020 there was discussion of jam sandwiches, along with crosswinds at Zurich, Plymouth, and Leeds Bradford, an appointment was made to see the doctor, and NF paid in a cheque.

Washing frenzy in progress. This is the 3rd of the week. .

Walk (abbreviated due to inclement weather) walked. Phew wot a scorcher. Thankfully the sun is a bit less fierce than it was earlier.

                  Lunch: brunch.

                  Entertainment: Sliced Bread: pillow speakers.

TWATO. The thing about the Orange Moron at 13:45.

Shirts in off the line & duly iRoned along with the couple of cottons that required it, all airing upstairs together with the smalls which were bone dry too.

The temperature in the saltinghouse reached 30 deg. Phew wot a scorcher.

Entertainment: Infinite Monkey Cage best bits: the peasants selection.

The Infinite Monkey Cage S30: Trees.

The recycling engineers were around later today at about 15:05, which is a remarkable change from the usual 07:45.

I was pleased to see that my single, very heavy, black bin bag of non recyclables had departed before 9 this morning. Full of single use non recycled plastics.

Now getting outside the afternoon cup of non Blend37 mediocre coffee.

Wandered down to the garage to see what I'll be doing next, then put the sunscreens on the roof of the saltinghouse.

Tea: beans on toast (cheesy) with a couple of boiled eggs. Nice enough.

                  Entertainment: PM.

Judging by the lightning thing it's been 3 fine days & the thunderstorms are arriving.

They've arrived, along with the rain. Well it's a bit cooler now. A gust of wind blew the back door open, much to my alarm. Maybe I'd better close some of the windows

                      Afternoon all

Cloudy but the sun is making a valiant effort to break through. Currently 14 degrees with a high of 15 expected. Barometer down to 1017 mBar.

                      Sunrise 0533; Sunset 20:57 BST

Too many meetings for my liking. Ending up having a coughing fit towards the end of one as talking for the better part of an hour is not good for my slowly recovering chesty cough.
