    Morning Afternoon.

    Wednesday.

    Dry.

    Sunny.

    Blue sky.

    Light breeze.

Chilly in here at 15 deg, 16 deg in the kitchen, 14 deg in the leanto. Didn't look in the saltinghouse.

1024.5 mBar, 30.253 in Hg, 768.44 Torr, 14.859 psi, (up from 1023 last night), 57% RH, pollen count: High.

Meanwhile on the 8th of January 2020 "Ne'er cast a clout til May be out" was cleared up to NF's satisfaction, along with the days stolen from us in 1752 with the change of the calendar (this also explains why April 6th is the new tax year since that corresponds to Lady Day in Ye Old Calendar).

    Washing frenzy in progress.

Entertainment: last ep of "More or Less" followed by David Dimbleby's prog about how Thatcher Milk Snatcher sold the family silver, this last leading me to swear at the wireless whilst pegging the washing on the line due to hearing the Great She Elephant's voice in various clips. Fecking woman was very lucky in her enemies: a bunch of Latin American meat packing glitterati and Arfur fecking Scargill.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Alternate route back down seeing as it's still dry.

Y&Y currently waffling on about the Chinese cashmere cardy scam. Didn't know cashmere was made of polyester. You learn something new every day.

    TWATO.

Bought a painting from a charity emporium this mornig: £15. Last one I bought in the same vein was £200.

Today's upcock on the washing frenzy was failing to remove a label from a new t shirt, so there's little bits of white label all over the shirts. .

Washing frenzy complete: all that required the iRon got it & everything is now airing upstairs.

Entertainment: The Infinite Monkey Cage best bits: Love, Flies or bats; Aliens.

Tea: chilli con carne with rice: nice enough.

    Hannah Fry dismantling The Fridge.

Maigret: Mrs 4 and her children. (1999). With Bruno Cremer.

Maigret: the crime at lock14 (1963). With Rupert Davies. and including Lucas (not the Prince of Darkness one).

Lunch has been the rest of the chilli and lime chicken in a wholemeal bap with a bag of plain crisps

The fog has dispersed and it's sunny and Simpsonesque out now

You prompted me to turn my head to the left and look out of the window. Cloud cover has nicely dispersed and there's just a little lump of fluff hanging about.

He's been nagging me for ages to talk to my GP so he'd better be happy with the outcome!

I'm sure he'll be fine, if he's fit enough
              Is he insured??

Tea has been surplus hot wings from last night, with some fries

And to go with it, E2 of the thing on iPlayer about the Irish Mafia. They don't mess about, these people

More of The Ministry of Time has been read, and it continues to be a good read

                  Thursday tomorrow!

It's going to be quite busy though. I've been given another migration to do, but the guy who knows lots about them and has basically carried me through the one we just did is leaving at the end of the week, because of the consultancy changing things up. And the guy who knows absolutely everything and can answer even the most obscure questions and explain the most recondite bugs instantly went on holiday for two weeks today. So I have to pick the first guy's brains as much as possible if I'm to have a hope of getting to where I need to be by the end of next week, when my own break starts

                  Goodnight all

                    Morning denizens

Grey start, though that should burn off soon. Fairly standard-for-the-moment temperatures: 4°C now, high of 17° expected later. And the barometers have crept a little higher to 1021/1029mB

                      Morning.

                      Thursday apparently.

                      Dry.

                      Sunny.

                      Blue sky.

Chilly in here at 14.4 deg, 15 deg in the kitchen, 12 deg in the leanto.

1028.5 mBar, 30.37 in Hg, 771.44 Torr, 14.92 psi, (up from 1027 last night), 56% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 8th of January 2020 Brillo popped in & mentioned EO, LM had some M&S couscous & chicken thing for lunch & was unimpressed, whereas NF was no longer #5 on Sainsburys list of something or other because he didn't drink so much cofffee.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine. Alternate route back down.

Freecell score: 100%, running average: 82%.

                      Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y gap finders: chip maker.

                      TWATO.

More potching: removed the imperial bricks from next door and stacked them in one of the pig sties: the theory being that I'll get around to building said pig sty up a bit & put a roof on it to turn it into a shed. There's more chance of pigs flying, to be honest, this plan having its origins before I retired.

Sorted more stuff out in the garage. Feck me there's A Lot Of Nails.

Mug of coffee to recover from my exertions.

Tea: beans on toast plus a couple of boiled eggs.

Entertainment: the R4 science thing followed by PM to find out what the Orange Moron has been up to today.

Science Fiction on Sky Arts: Asimov to Bradbury.

Bangers & Cash: MGC and Fiat Seicento. One I wouldn't touch with a bargepole, the other is a fun little car, though yellow. Well if I read that right they lost their shirts on the MGC and the Seicento. Sticking £1500 of audio crap in the Seicento didn't help. It went for £4k having cost £5k. My maths isn't up to much these days but I think I'd term that a fail.

Thing on R4 iplayer about The Reichsleiter's Origin Story. Oh look, it references the Septic Bund.
