    Morning denizens

Grey and slightly misty start, with the sun making only a heavily veiled appearance so far. Still fairly mild at 5°C with a predicted high of 12°. The barometers are unchanged at 992/1000mB

It'll turn colder again over the rest of the week, with frosty nights expected by the weekend and daytime temperatures no better than 7°

Morning all 9C out at 06:30, with overcast skies. I wouldn't say it's spitting now, it's like the sky hasn't got the energy on a Monday morning to spit, so it's just letting occasional raindrops fall.

        Morning.

        Monday.

        Spitting with rain, damp.

        Grey.

        Sunless.

        Dreary.

Chilly in here at 14.9 deg, 13 deg in the kitchen & leanto.

999 mBar, 29.5 in Hg, 749.3 Torr, 14.489 psi, (up from 998 last night), 62% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 31st of December 2019 stuff was being delivered to WTFH and the guinea fowl were upset.

Better night's sleep: I put it down to washing the tablets down with single malt, something I recalled from toothache half a century ago (though I used Gordon's Gin back then).

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom. Conversations with 4 people. Toads are out & about looking for rumpy pumpy.

        Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: TWATO. Followed by the Asbestos thing at 13:45.

I see there are ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion the Lincolnshire coast.

I was so involved with the Luxtons that I forgot about the asbestos thing. Sounds helped me out in that regard.

Freecell score in the ongoing greyness: 80%, running average: 82%.

Tea: Brains faggots with peas & suchlike. Nice enough. Being somewhat demented it almost turned into Tesco battered cod since I'd got a portion out of the freezer for tomorrow. I'm getting a bit worried. .

        Entertainment: PM.

Skinwalker Ranch bollox on blaze. Let's hope it's more amusing than the oak island nutjobbery and their moronic metal detectorist. Fingers & toes crossed.

Well it was so gripping I dozed off during the helicopter thing.

NCIS S21 E8: the heart surgery one. Didn't recognise Tim Russ.

        Last 10 minutes of Bullitt.

          Morning all

Clear blue skies again. Currently 9 degrees with a high of 17 expected. Barometer continues downwards to 1000 mBar.

          Sunrise 06:27; Sunset 17:29

More mooching about done yesterday. Whilst there's a good network of trams, we tend to walk everywhere so easily hit/exceed the 10k steps mark each day.

Heading home today but not until later this evening. Having a relaxing morning, as we have a late check out, before we head over to the top butcher in Prague to buy sausages to bring home.

Lunch has been these new (to me, at any rate) things from Sainsbury's that look like sausage rolls but are filled with a chicken and ham combo. Good idea and the flavour is nice, but the texture is a bit too smooth for me; I'd like the filling to be a bit coarser. So worth a try, but I don't think I'll bother again

Instagram has introduced me to the K&E Leroy Letteing Set and now I must have one.

Nice walk this morning with couple of old ladies, not the usual ones. Got one of those this evening, she bossed me into taking her to the cinema.

Another day done. I had very little enthusiasm today, so I mainly sat back while the other two guys tried to work out why the thing they'd been trying to get working since Friday afternoon wasn't

Eventually, this afternoon, I managed to summon up enough energy to get involved. Naturally, this meant digging into a stack trace (which the others had dismissed as unhelpful earlier in the day) which suggested there might be something relevant in a library the application uses - the same one as caused us some trouble a couple of weeks ago. So I had a look and sure enough, reading the source explained everything we were seeing, and allowed us to formulate a plan of action! It was too late to do anything about it by then, but I think we'll now be able to get this bit finished off in the morning

I don't know why they haven't started digging through stack traces and reading source code themselves yet, but I'm hoping they'll learn from my example eventually

Darn Microsoft ending Bing maps API in a few months and replacement does not include OS maps so no use for my walky stuff. Fortunately I have now managed to do a lot of stuff in Excel using map images, like show locations from photos or show routes walked. Amazing what you can do with Excel, it converts 11MB of GPX files to a js file in about a second.
