Tea has been from Nando's. Tried the "extra hot" sauce this time, which is hot but not as hot as the chicken madras I had last week, or the chilli sauce from the kebab shop

Lots of wildlife stuff on the box today as usual, including Monkey Life which I think was the only non-repeat - though elephants digging wells during a drought is always worth seeing again
Later, I finished Blitzed where, early in 1945, they were sending untrained youths on missions in mini-submarines which they were supposed to operate without sleep for four days by dint of a cocktail of cocaine, meth, and oxycodone. Unsurprisingly, virtually all of them lie at the bottom of the North Sea to this day
And then a bit of Nuclear Accidents in which Heisenberg's plan to create a nuclear weapon for the Nazis has resulted in their laboratory burning for two days after an early attempt at controlled fission caused the uranium to catch fire and explode, albeit just in a firework kind of way

^^^OM.
Pah! It was just a cover story for Die Glocke!
Morning.
Sunday.
Sunny.
Dry.
Blue sky.
Cool in here at 17.4 deg, 18.5 deg in the kitchen, 16.5 deg in the leanto.
1024 mBar, 30.238 in Hg, 768.06 Torr, 14.85 psi, (up from 1020 last night assuming I tapped it), 78% RH (GDR hair), 72% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 4th of October 2019 NF had travelled south, while I watched E1 & E2 of S2 of Jeremiah.
How curious: the theme from "Band of Brothers" played in a cathedral by the Royal Marines Band.
Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the unbearable heat of the day.
Lunch: baked spud etc.
Entertainment: there wasn't any.
Freecell score: abysmal.
Some rough hacking away in the garden took place so I can walk down the garden path again. Fecking honeysuckle.
Freecell score: 93%, running average: 86%.
Tea: soup etc.
Entertainment: Fishlock wandering about the place: Sailor's Institute in Bala. Monaughty House near Presteigne. I wonder if the chap doing the renovations is still alive 24 years later. Found ?his son? on Companies House. .
Underground Cities on Blaze. Less bolloxy bollox that is usual.
Skinwalker Ranch: "Between the lines".
Flipping Bangers: 2CV. "Watched" this bollox muted. Won't bother again.
Ancient Unexplained Files on DMAX+1. Witch marks in a cave in Notts. How Hannibal got the elephants over the alps. Elongated skulls. Babylonian Clay tablet: it's a calculator.
Possibly the S4C thing about art.Someone I've never heard of painted by someone I've never heard of. <click>Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 3 June 2024, 08:07.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment
