    Morning all

Sunny with lumps of fluff. Currently 17 degrees with a high of 21 expected. Thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon. Barometer down to 1011 mBar.

There was a brief thunderstorm around 11pm last night. Only a couple of flashes of lightning and a few rumbles with about 5 minutes of rain.

Food waste was emptied about 7.20 am.

Today programme went "click" due to way too much drivel about the new PM, the old PM and other nonsense.

Last evening's thunderstorms passed us by in the east and in the west according to the Blitz site, switched the wireless to LW and it was crackling away like a good 'un.

      Morning.

      Dry.

      Wanly sunny.

      Blue sky in parts.

Cool at 20.9 deg in here.

      1005 mBar, 29.6776 in Hg, 753. 81199 Torr, 14.576 psi, (down from 1006 last night), 72% RH.

      Tuesday.

Meanwhile in the dying days of December 18th 2018 NF was , I was , and presumably MS was too, while I was gradually going through Strangelove Mater's collection of variously defunct vacuum cleaners in a pointless attempt to clean up the mess left by the builders next door. All of said vacuum cleaners ended up in the skip down the dump.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the sunshine and cool breeze, during which conversations about ducks, moorhens, coots, geese and plum and apple jam were enjoyed.

Not so enjoyable was the unexpected addition to the Strangelove footwear which proved quite difficult to get rid of and resisted the puddle technique.

Lunch: Ginsters cornish pasty (reduced, Morrisons) with baked beans, bramble jelly and marmalade slices of toast, a red corner yog, and 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

In other other news, the TV Times was purchased with change including a £ coin I found in the garden. They go rusty you know.

Freecell score: dire & it got worse so I gave up.

More fettling of the electric field mill, drilling of holes, soldering of wires, all that sort of thing.

Looks like I forgot to "borrow" a reflective optosensor before I retired so I'll have to get creative.

Tea: M&S lightly dusted plaice, some stewed apple & custard (said custard having boiled over just to make my joy complete), 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

      Entertaiment: PM.

Wheeler Dealers S12 E6 Datson 240Zeeeeeeeeeee: or how to drive yourself mad changing an autobox for a manual gearbox. Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

When I changed the Granada over I had to drill holes in the bulkhead for the clutch cable and change the entire pedal box, unlike the easy job on the 240Z. And the hole in the floor wasn't nicely marked out for the gearlever gaiter either, I hacksawed the bit of floor off the car the gearbox came from.

It's hammering down out there now.

The Sweeney S1 E12 "Contact breaker". The one with Warren Clarke.

The Rookie S2 E7 "Safety". The missed period one. John bottles out. With the added fertiliser bomber. And diamond merchant.

The Bad Skin Clinic S4 E9. A lady with a lump on her inner thigh.

Lady with excessive sweating: hyperhydrosis. Botulinum injections and some ointment.

The lady's lump was a lipoma: in the words of the doctor "well I've never seen one like that before". .

Chap with horrendous psoriasis. New creams. Tablets.

      Chap with neurofibromatosis Type 1.

        Morning.

We had a very unsatisfying 45 minutes of rain last night, I was hoping for it to lull me to sleep but it stopped just before and I spent ages waiting for it to start again.

I’m a bit tired now needless to say.

Actually, reading NF, it might have only been 5 minutes…

This afternoon's thunderstorms have been downgraded to rain. Currently still sunny in between the clouds.

Epic thunderstorm last night from about 9 til midnight, proper batten down the hatches stuff.

All morning quiz activities successfully completed including Heardle which was an obvious one today.

There's some bloke in a Hi-vis jacket outside the front door of the old dear who lives opposite-ish. This is always something to keep an eye on after she paid some charlatan £19k for a 5m wooden fence. Can't see a van which is more concerning.

Ours definitely lasted over half an hour I think, so you were probably right the first time

Much rain and more thunder and lightning ongoing.

HWMBO is out shopping so may return somewhat soggy if he didn't manage to find shelter in time.

The WifeTM walked in to my office a few minutes ago with a cup of tea, then asked if I had been drinking before spotting the demijohns bubbling away.
