A recycling bin has been retrieved

I ran into the manager/landlord chap while I was out there. Then, shortly after I'd come in, he phoned me to ask me to bring in one of the numbered black bins after they'd been done

He doesn't normally put those out, preferring to transfer the contents to other people's bins, but there wasn't room this week so he had to put one out

      Green bin trundled for tomorrow.
lunch was duck spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce.
still grey and occasionally damp in soggy sarf herts.

Lunch: chicken and barley soup with wholemeal bread

That was the last of the wholemeal, but it's family Zoom call New Zealand Time this Sunday, so I'll be up horrendously early anyway and will go shopping then

With the added trauma of the hour going on on Sunday morning.

Oh, how we look forward to that.

Such a tedious faff to deal with twice a year. What's wrong with sticking to GMT?

                  I know!

I need to check if NZ changes at the same time, in which case we probably still lose an hour but at least avoid having to get up an hour earlier than the usual 8:30… or something like that; timezones are confusing
