Viewing whilst dining was a bit of some thing on My5 about some South African security firm who drive around armed with automatic rifles and stuff and seem to operate pretty much as a private police force. Can't see them getting away with it in Tunbridge Wells, but I suppose things are a little different in Joburg

Early(ish) night now, to correspond with today's early(ish) start.

It's Friday, I'm in Love.
As my Grandpa used to say "that'll be the frosty Friday". As a Cockney who went to live in Cape Town, he never experienced one again since he left in 1939.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment

Morning.
Dry.
Sunny.
CBS.
Frosty.
16.1 deg in here.
993 mBar, 29.32 inHg, 55% RH.
Friday.
Smalls in the WM.
Smalls out of the WM and in the TD.
Shirts in the WM.
Time for a walk.
<hiatus>
Walk walked.
Sunny.
Frosty.
Innerestingly slippery in parts.
Shirts out of the WM.
Smalls were at 0:02 in the TD until the random number generator changed it to 0:27.
Cottons in the WM on the shirts setting bumped up to 60 deg.
It saves an hour and a quarter.
<hiatus>
Smalls out of the TD & airing in the front bedroom in the sun.
Shirts in the TD.
Shirts out of the TD.
Cottons out of the WM.
Cottons in the TD.
Lunch: poached tomato and scrambled egg on Morrisons multiseed toast, blackcurrant jam on same x 2, red corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Shirts ironed roughly & with some irritation, in the living room rather than the salting house coz it's cold out there, atmosphere or not.
According to the random number generator it's 50 mins before the cottons are ready.
I'll believe it when I see it.
In other news, it's now grey, overcast & sunless & I'm sure I just heard some precipitation on the leanto roof.
Yup, it's precipitating.
<hiatus>
Ongoing precipitation & the random number generator reached zero.
Washing done for this week.
<hiatus>
Freecell score: 92%, running average 84% (83.6 something).
Tea: Tesco chunky breaded haddock, some random yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.
Entertainment: after much scanning of the offerings, none of which inspired much innerest: "Aerial America" on Smithsonian, which disappointingly enough, isn't about aerials at all, but rather has someone flying all over the place.
This ep hops from place to place faster than an SR71.
Susan Calman's Grand Day Out in Yorkshire, which will be of very moderate innerest.
"Luke: I am your Father" on PBS.
Currently showing on Sony Classic Movies is "Rock Around the Clock" with Bill Haley & the Comets, should one have an irresistible urge to vandalise one's chair in the 1950s approved fashion. Flick knives are extra.Last edited by DoctorStrangelove; 22 January 2021, 19:43.When the fun stops, STOP.Comment

Blue sky, dry, sunny. It's summer! Except it's 3 degrees ('feels like' 1) and is not set to get any warmer than 7. Chance of rain this afternoon. Barometer up to 993 mBar.
Enjoying a lie in; I could so go back to working three days a week.
Today's Kantar diary fact is:
