In the end I hauled out the last of my homemade doner kebab meat from the freezer which, with the last pitta bread and some sweet chilli sauce and a side of fries, proved to be very tastyOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostTrying to decide what to have for tea. I have too many options

I’ve got some lamb mince in the freezer, bought when there wasn’t a lot to choose from in Sainsbury’s, so now I’ll have to decide whether to use it for a shepherd’s pie as originally intended, or make more kebab meat.Comment

They do but it just adds to the charm. We've all grown old (but not necessarily up) together!Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View PostIndeed.

Now they're listening to the lava in the pipe using infrasound.
The lava in that lake looks as fluid as water.
Except it's 1000 deg C and red hot.

The tree’s so bushy now that I thought it was completely blocking out the lights from thekebabshawarma place over the way, but it turns out they’ve gone home early. I don’t suppose there’s much passing trade later in the evening these days

Didn't enjoy that one so much, it wasn't very funny.Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View PostWonderfalls E9 "Safety Canary",
Rather sadly it was one of the actors final role: died shortly afterwards of Cardiac arrhythmia.

Tonight’s viewing was the final episode of The Night Of, The Call of the Wild (TV Episode 2016). It was ninety-five minutes long, rather than the just-under-an-hour of the other episodes. All in all, I thought the whole thing was extremely good; highly recommended should you happen upon it on one of them there streaming services or wherever (it was an HBO-BBC Worldwide joint production)
The closing credits of this episode didn’t have any music, just the distant sounds of the city at night; faint murmur of traffic and so on. Made me quite nostalgic for the time when this city sounded like that at night, five or six weeks ago
And now I’m getting an early night, for today is my birthday, so I want to feel bright and refreshed and ready for a day of, I dunno, staying in and avoiding all human contact because that’s the law and there isn’t anything else to do anyway
Goodnight all
