It appears to be raining or have rained. Not quite sure if there is still wet stuff falling or just drips.

Tea: shall be chilli con carne with rice, since the chilli is simmering on the hob at this very moment, ready for 18:00 this evening.

And so it transpired, though there was A Lot of chilli powder in this iteration.

Combination of stewed apple and stewed raspberries and custard.

Sadly it was obvious from the flavour that they'd been in the freezer for A Long Time, but acceptable despite this.

Well I've stewed the feckers so I'm hardly going to throw 'em in the compost heap, though the custard would have been better if it had been thicker.

0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

4 portions of chilli in the freezer taking up some space.

I dragged the 2012 bag of peas to the top so we'll find out how those have survived shortly.

The much anticipated Excavation In The Freezer has revealed some frozen raspberries (pre 2014 at a gues), some frozen apple (sliced up but uncooked), some M&S frozen peas from early 2013 (they're BBE 2013 so must be earlier than that)

It transpires that said raspberries had 12th June 2011 inscribed on the lid by Strangelove Mater, the hand writing appearing to agree with that sort of date (it deteriorated markedly over the next couple of years).

The M&S peas were BBE Jan 2013 so were definitely a 2012 purchase.

It's all very exciting in an unexciting what the feck have I got here sort of way.

I've not forgotten the arctic pollock which similarly required the application of hammer & chisel to separate the fillets.
