Tonight's culinary experiment has been… *drum roll* homemade donner kebab!

No vertical spit available in the flat, sadly, so it was manufactured according to the above-linked recipe and stuffed in a pitta bread with some sweet chilli sauce, accompanied by a side of fries. Exceedingly nice, it was, and plenty left over for freezing or perhaps for a couple of days' lunch

BBQ worked well yesterday. As expected for something "smokeless" you don't get the BBQ smokey flavour into the food but it heats up well, within 5 minutes, and cooks well too. Juicy fat Lincolnshire sausages from Borough Market and vegetable kebabs. Washed down with a bottle of Gigondas. Yum!

                  It's not a happy view.

I think I'm post apocalypsed out, judging by how far I got into "Jeremiah" and "Jericho".

                    Morning denizens

                    Sunny out

Going to get a little cloudier later it seems, but it looks like we're still due for some nasty warmth over the next day or two
