    Morning all

    Been raining hard overnight, the ground is sodden. Muddy dog walk. In brighter news one of our chickens who was moulting in January has laid an egg today. A couple more weeks until there's a bit more daylight and I reckon they will all be pushing out one a day.

          Morning denizens

          The Corolla has been taken in for its service, home has been walked back to, and coffee has been brewed

          The temperature hadn't plummeted to -2°C by sunrise as was forecast, and there's no sign of the threatened snow, but it's still rather chilly out there

            Morning all

            Cold, damp and grey with a wind that GMIL used to call "lazy". It goes through you not round you.

            Cat appears to have fully recovered from his arthritis flare up, judging from the way he bounded onto the bed at 5:30 this morning to demand his breakfast.

            Face to face interview with potential new client yesterday. Seemed to go ok. Just have to wait and see now.

                  The beef and lentil soup has been divvied up: one (rather full) bowl for later, three for the freezer. The flavour's definitely done that thing of developing overnight

                    Birthday flowers from a shop called 'Lady Flora'. Which does rather sound like a yeast condition! Nice flowers though - and no lilies which are very poisonous for cats.
