    Morning denizens

Sleep was rudely interrupted shortly after midnight by an almighty bang from outside, as two cars collided

Nobody hurt, although it looked from the damage as if they must have gone pretty much head on into each other, so somebody screwed up badly. Anyway, they were left on opposite sides of the road forming a kind of chicane, meaning all traffic thereafter had to slow down or stop to get through it, with lorries in particular making a lot of noise as they navigated round the wrecks. This went on until they were finally taken away at about half one, after which I could get back to sleep properly

Rather cloudy start out and getting cloudier later, apparently

And my mum was discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. Apparently the likely treatment to reduce this will potentially clash with existing conditions and medication, so we'll have to see what they can work out to get things back in order
