I woke up and dragged myself out for a run. Showered and fell asleep. Then realised when I woke up I should have started work.

Anyway I'm so hungry now due to that thread on Indian meals I'm ordering a curry. Damn them.

        Home!

I thought I might make it back before sunset today, which would have been a nice turning point. The A14 was OK, and the M1 was very sparsely populated - turns out a big accident a couple of junctions before I joined had held all the traffic up.

But when I came off the motorway, it was straight into a jam due to an accident by the shopping park; the whole area was snarled up. And once past that, it was still really busy the rest of the way towards town. Turns out the footballers have visitors from Seville popping round tonight, and lots of people are going to gawp at them

So getting home before sunset is now my goal for tomorrow

If they'd brought some oranges with them you could make marmalade.

And ZG is yet again grateful to the chap who invented ibuprofen in his garage.

Life must have been intolerable before that & aspirin were invented.

Apart from the ready availability of laudanum and morphine of course.

Wonder if they'd do a swap for a load of crisps and pork pies, those being the local delicacies

And The Wife (tm) is away, and I haven't seen Kate since we shared a light aircraft in Kenya in September and she's on my list.

Her husband seems a lovely fellow.
