I have stalled on Windows ME and Office 97. Two of our desktops came with XP and I upgraded (IMHO) them to Windows ME. They fly!

I have Xp on one system, ME on another, and vista on two more.
I am also running win 95 on an old system because a cad program and a tidal prediction program I use won't run on anything newer

Windows XP strikes me as "Windows for Crayons".

Vista looks like "Windows for Finger Paints".

I have gotten the bugs out of Vista now, and it really is a good program, if you are experienced.
I would not recommend it for public consumption though

One of the local authorities I worked at has a DOS 3.1 machine for some old CAD package that never got converted to Windows.

They have no spare machine so it is only a matter of time...

They are relying on it for civil engineering data.
