          Yep ages ago, not doing it.

          Turns out it was only for the initial rounds in the end.

          Will apply next year.

          Have been invited to compete again in the BBQ competition next year by one of the judges.

            The Food Programme on R4 is on about fats and oils.

            Lard and dripping are back in.

            Corn oil, sunflower oil and peanut oil are out.

            Feck me, I can't keep up with this.

                Sounds good, though as it happens I use sunflower oil in the deep fat fryer (which can't use solid fats) and peanut oil for most frying.

                I need to find a deep fat fryer that can handle beef dripping
