Fantastic. We went for the 7 course tasting menu with accompanying wine. When you factor in all the canapes and amuse-bouches I shouldn't need to eat until Sunday. Of course, I will do. I'm beer canning a poulet on the egg this evening.

Were they a tad meagre on the wine? In the UK they haven't quite got the balance of just enough to go with the course.

Over here they go a tad over the top with it, not good if you're doing 7 or 9 courses and have had fizz beforehand.

Just had a look at the menu, the wine pairing is a tad steep, only being a fiver less than the actual tasting menu

They don't pour too much initially but were happy to top up as required.

The menu has changed from the one on the website and it turned out that the wine was £65 according to the bill. I need to email them today to get the list but they were all paired well. There were more staff than diners but I suppose it was a Wednesday evening. We'll be going back.

Good that they topped up, a lot of places just don't.

                Was it 65 each?

I always get a menu signed by the chef and the wines listed as well. I have a big black book of michelin menus (well the ones that were decent, anyway).

Turns out we won't be able to do the 4 2* restaurant tour in Rotterdam after all. Rang to book it yesterday and they start at 18:30, Mr N doesn't get back from work till then

                  And it finishes next week

                    Yup, each.

I hope the guy does well. He seems a nice enough chap.

Speaking of food, I think I'll pop up the road to Greggs for lunch. A steak bake and a sausage roll should see me right
