Afternoon denizens
Just had one hell of a shock reading the local rag's web site
The police have just released a mugshot of a guy who was recently jailed for seventeen years for a brutal rape-and-torture attack back in 1987, convicted after new DNA evidence linked him to the crime.
I know him... he was a regular at my local for the last eighteen years, and I regarded him as a friend
You would have said he was one of the most affable, laid-back people you could ever hope to meet
I hope he does the full stretch. I don't want him coming up to me saying "How are you, mate" in eight years time
