I'm making Spinich and Ricotta Ravioli with tomato and mascarpone sauce.... I'd like to say from scratch but I have a little help from Messers Marks and Spencer....
    Can't be bothered cooking tonight

I've just made myself a sarny - french bread with those seeds on it, and a good thick wodge of roast aberdeen angus... with freshly-ground black pepper

I think tonight will consist of assorted snacks rather than a meal - I've got a Dutch sausage, some paté, and there's some chicken left from yesterday.

And I have the sneaking feeling that I'll be getting some BBQ ribs from the chippy at pub-chucking-out time

        This corresponds more or less:

Au Gratin Potatoes - #1 Most Popular Recipe
        (Serves 6)

        Ingredients:

2 pounds Idaho Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 5 cups)
        2 tablespoons melted butter
        1/2 teaspoon salt
        1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
        1/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
        Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a shallow 1-1/2 quart casserole with butter. Arrange sliced potatoes in layers.
Sprinkle with melted butter, salt and pepper. Top with grated cheese and bread crumbs.
        Bake 30 minutes, covered.
Uncover and bake and additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Approximate nutritional analysis per serving: 378 calories, 15 grams fat, 9 grams protein, 50 grams carbohydrate, 50 mg cholesterol, 865 mg sodium

Note: For a healthier version, try Enlightened Au Gratin Potatoes, see recipe below.

Except the potatos tend not to come from Idaho.

There once was a Great Tribble Hunt,

            An undoubtedly spiffy good stunt.
            But Spock is behind

            No tribbles he'd find
            And points-wise Uhura's in front.

The Tribble Hunt was a great farce.

Finding them was down to chance.
            Scotty said "Chum!",

            "I've spotted one! Come!"
And plucked it out from the long grass.
