You put on your chameleon cloak and climb up the beanstalk.
Halfway up, you pause to catch your breath, and notice a small treehouse complex tethered to the trunk, supported by vines. There are some imps here, talking amongst themselves about house prices and insiduous nationalism.
You look down, far below you, you can see the great grassy plain, the forest, with the occasional clearing and buildings dotted here and there, and the thatched village over to the North East.Last edited by realityhack; 10 August 2007, 15:42.Comment

Just an aside, but chameleons can't change colour to suit their surroundings, so the chameleon cloak is bloody useless. And explains the crow pooing on me all the time.Comment

You see a brilliant, modern metropolis to the North, with soaring skyscrapers and a bustling business district. There is a taxi rank here, with 3 bright yellow hover-taxis parked by a small sign. 3 taxi drivers stand on the clouds next to their taxis, chatting animatedly over a few beers.
'Standing on clouds?' You think, aloud, and gingerly step on the cloud cover. It holds your weight, it's a bit like walking on a bouncy castle. You marvel at this, bouncing up and down for a while. There is seemingly endless cloud cover to the South, West and East. A towering, busy metropolis to the North, and a taxi rank immediately North.
A hover-truck roars overhead, heading for the city.
A crow flaps up and perches on a vine at the top of the beanstalk above you.Comment
