I've told both AGENT and CLIENT that AS THINGS STAND I am not renewing and invited them to sort somethingout.
Still considering it an option then, no?

You never know, I wiped some unicorn pooh off of the bottom of my shoe, just this morning.

Or at least that's what I think it was

To remind everyone. Nothing has changed in IR35 legislation, this is about education and assurance. At our firm, those contractors who are genuinely outside will be very well supported.
All well and good but there are a number of instances where clients just can't be bothered like TFL. No good being 100% outside there.

If you are outside IR35 by most measures there is no reason why tomorrow you should be inside.

The only thing bringing us inside is the fear of the PS or the agency that they will pay hefty back pay of the unpaid tax.

Maybe there could even be an industry round this instead of insuring the contractor the insurance could insure the agency or the PS client.
If the client makes a decision come April that you're inside then you can shout and scream all you want.... You are now inside.

I totally agree. Its very unlikely to get sorted.

But it'd be a bit silly to say, at this point, no I am definitely not staying. After all they have another 4 weeks left to sort something.

Of course, if something else comes up in that time then I will definitely avoid the hassle and not extend.

To be honest it will be most interesting seeing where it all is a year from now.

A massive increase in ICT Visas and offshoring (to companies in India with UK shareholders who are also Tory MP's and ministers) resulting in huge tax losses to the country, while at the same time Brexiters fly union jacks claiming to have 'taken back control' would be my guess

I'd consider shaving my a*se, painting it red, and running around Piccadilly naked if someone offered me £100K. Unlikely to happen but never say never
