Then you need to join a union and fight for your workers rights.

From memory the technical note states that they can be claimed from HMRC....

But SueEllen is right until I see what IPSE is proposing to do, my recommendation is to join a union (Unison or GMB) as they will be going after this change....

I think its only statutory sick and maternity pay you can claim but I'll look again later....
For the other things you need to wait 12 weeks and then hit that employment tribunal and using the appropriate clause in the draft legislation alongside the agencies act to claim employment rights....

I suspect there will be a lot of such cases as I suspect with the draft legislation as drafted its going to be very hard to wiggle out of it...

Try and get union backing before you go to a tribunal that way you are more likely to get their help. So once you have joined become friendly with the rep(s) at the branch office as the ones on-site are likely to be less experienced.

Given this is the biggest thing to happen in contracting and there is no news or statement from ipse directly in the last 48hrs (except for them electing new directors) it is hard to feel sympathy.

And a whole load of contractors won't need insurance soon.

              So you mentioned GMB.......😉

You need to give them time to read and digest what has been written. Remember I can comment here because I don't really have to think through the consequences of what I write and you can see my thought patterns go from this is a reasonable plan to have HMG really been as stupid as they appear to be and why have they done that.

Most people who need to handle these things in a consistent matter need some time to think and work through the scenarios and consequences before commenting on things. So I'm not surprised IPSE haven't said anything yet, you really can't expect them to.... Especially as I really can't see much that IPSE can do, especially after those quotes from the chancellor ended up in the public domain...

                  For once I agree with

IPSE have to be a little careful how they respond, but to be fair in the past they have told the Government in no uncertain terms they are being stupidly misguided while maintaining a dialogue. definitely one for the experts I think
