Re that link post from Andy - corroborates my point that essentially junior people come up with these policies. Not senior. No sir. Senior people just pass on and forward to Ministers. The Minsters just sit there in meeting on their smartphone and, as long as the outcome is in line with Government policy, just agree to it. It wins votes. Trust me, I've seen it first hand, I've been in those meetings. There are no significant thought processes around all these policies. Just vote winning policies.

Just noticed this on Qdos's website

The irony in it all being that in an attempt to identify disguised employees, HMRC have forced public sector contractors closer to an employee-like operation of their businesses.
The more I've thought about it the more I think that's the point.....

There is no 'normal'. It varies from gig to gig.
Absolutely. Always billed weekly at every gig for 17 years.

That was QDOS's response after the AS. Has anybody heard from them since Monday?

Like most people I think they need time to think before commentating

And so they should. As far as I can see when this goes through both QDOS and IPSE should close their doors, they'll be making no more revenue, you can buy insurance anywhere. Odos's contract reviews were a good thing but that all ends in April.

You know they deal with more than the public sector.

                    Again.. Keep this in perspective.

They could do - or they could see how they can provide real and practical support to contractors who want to challenge their status or find out about alternative ways of providing their services to the public sector.
