A fairly predicatable one is the accelerated exodus of the more resourceful and skilled faction of contractors (which incidentally also tends to be the more highly paid) under friendlier skies.Comment

The other unintended consequence may well be a bobfest as they'll happily work for that amount, absolutely screwing the UK economy. Well done HMRC.The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

Hmm client is going to look at the tool and my list of requirements based on its questions - then try and see if they can write something outside IR35.
I've told them I'm open to whatever they come back with - my only hesitation remains being in the same place after 6th April - it all seemed more clear cut when the tool wasn't out and the roles were all likely to be inside IR35. I had my plan to move on and get a new gig, new client, new agency, and probs use an umbrella inside IR35 to mitigate retro threat.
If they did come back and say they're happy to say I'm outside IR35, I'm assuming need an appropriately worded contract, including statement of working practices and real world changes to back them up? Also that there are no sneaky clauses pushing liability for wrong decision back to me.
Now thinking this may be ok re retro - outside and I could stay, inside and I should walk? Will do anything to mitigate retro threatComment
