What I don't get is, if all these contractors are jumping ship why are we not seeing a glut of PS roles on jobserve or the like?

I imagine by around May/June there will be plenty of roles out there as projects and programmes are 6 months+ behind and ministers/senior directors are wondering why it hasn't been doneComment

Also, recruiting in the public sector takes a long time and those people haven't actually left yet. Ministers rarely get told the truth and they also don't care. Seriously.Comment

Two roles that have been available for months - mainly because contractors keep leaving according to the agent I bothered speaking to last year - have suddenly have their rates increased by £200.
They are with our favourite department and involve skills that the private sector definitely want at the moment."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I was always planning on finishing my contracting this year, either to go PAYE and stick to the lower limits or even leave the country.
There has been a lot of mention of "red flags" on here recently.
Would closing LtdCo be a red flag just asking to be investigated (as though I'm trying to avoid this magic 6th April deadline), or would you suggest I leave it open for a while? I don't really want to be paying accountancy fees much more, although I'd probably have to keep paying the insurance for a few years?
I won't be working on any contract, public or private, come April (or being paid etc).Comment
