Probably, yes. If you think you may be effected, then it's worth asking your insurer in advance rather than finding out too late.

You really need to randomly spend more time here.

IR35 inspections take years to sort out even if you have insurance.

If you have insurance HMRC opens the case, digs around for 2-3 years and finding you have insurance quietly drop it.

In the meantime you are so stressed by the demands turning up on your doorstep every Saturday morning particularly on bank holiday weekends you lose sleep, your hair goes grey, you develop anxiety problems etc.

Time will tell - there will shortly be several hundred counter avoidance team members with a much reduced ongoing pipeline more than likely they could be reassigned to work on retrospective IR35 investigations - 250 a year could blossom to 5 or 6 times that. It being retrospective they will be able to get round to everyone they feel they should in due course

They should be able to manage it all from Hyderabad as a saving to the Taxpayer perhaps probabaly not as cheap there as Newcastle though

Depends on the policy. QDOS TLC35 or Abbey Tax's Survive35 cover taxes and penalties, but are more expensive, and anecdotally have never had to pay out.

Absolutely not that. If any of that is true, that's the last thing that will happen. Not how Departments are run now.
