HMRC Enquiries for EBT Loans from Cascade London

It's interesting to read the Daily Mail today and all the top 10 companies who are evading paying tax in the UK. These include companies like Rolls-Royce Group Vodafone, G4S, British American Tobacco, Tate & Lyle, RSA insurance among others!!!! According to the MOS 1 in 4 of the Uk's top companies pay NO TAX!!!!! And they are coming after us..................think it's time they picked on someone their own size, the rewards would be much bigger and I'm sure the big boys wouldn't be too concerned for their livelihoods and their families!!!!

Tax code is so complicated that anything is possible. I just hope Penfolds has planned properly and scheme was 100% legal.

I have just joined. I have received a letter back in december 2012 requesting all details of loans for tax year 2010-2011.
The letter did not included amounts owed etc
I contacted Sean at Cascade who mentioned Hamilton trust will send out an emailed responce which they did. He aslo mentoned that if HMRC win's we as contractors must pay the fine.This email included what they plan to do regarding Kingston smith etc. I was advised not to respond to HMRC. I have had no further letter from HMRC.

My situation is slightly different.

Story below:
Basically Hays placed me on a contract BUT i HAD to use an umbrella company on their PSL list. I fought against this for some time but was told either I use their PSL list or I lose the contract. A bitter pill to swallow after resigning from a perm job. I was then advised to use Cascade. As cascade was on the Hays PSL could Hays also be liable regarding HMRC?
