I can see a lot of these scams coming under attack from HMRC's new weapon s684. The beauty of s684, for HMRC, is that it can't be appealed.

All follow the usual practice of paying you minimum wage and then using a separate entity to advance you the rest of the paymen (most seem to only have UK companies in the loop).

Interesting addition to the PAYE Services Ltd entry above

I have now seen emails from them saying that a certain compliance scheme had checked them and found them compliant.

And an email from said "compliance" scheme confirming that they "audited" and passed PAYE Services Limited.

Reality is unless an audit is continual - it's not worth the paper it's written on.
