This time around it's less posts but the mixture of replies is the same. Some settled first time around (me included for peanuts really) some are still ignoring some are disputing.

You have to do what suits you really.

Just be careful if you ignore, and there are statutory demands in the letters they can't be ignored.

he says you need to reject the demand so I would suggest doing just that rather than ignoring it

My personal view (if I get a letter from them) is to ignore them like I did with Felicitas, it is just a scam and another shakedown by a different company (who are probably mates with the other bunch of cowboys).
I will be opening their letters, but like Eek and Cojak stress, I will be opening the letters to ensure there is not an SD in it, if there is one, I will action, if there isn't one, I will wipe my ***e with the letter.
As I have said in the past, until a judge in court tells me to pay, they are getting nothing from me and I will fight it till then.

Elysium Law have been pushing to get their names here without the courtesy of contacting Admin.

They have not offered advice as other specialists do, just pushing free advertising, which is why I have instructed them to contact Admin.

I am not amused by these fake punters or the barrister who has ignored my instructions.

Be aware that I will delete and ban these fake punters. And because of this I am less than impressed by Elysium Law.

Make of that what you will…

I Understand your stance here re the Forum and Companies advertising, I used to Mod another forum so totally understand.

Offering advice is hard given the subject and confidentiality and to be honest there is little an individual can do on their own except join forces with people in the same boat and create your own action.

I'm a genuine guy that has contracted in banking for 22+ years and I fell in the original Felicitas cesspit, Elysium did conduct a successful mediation with Felicitas and I was one of the group representatives, it was a day long Zoom, that unearthed some really shocking callus attitudes by Felicitas, for this to surface again with West 28 is just like herpes, there is an answer and that is to take legal group action against West 28, I'm using Elysium to do that....

I'm happy to answer question and I can try and help, but I'm just an IT contractor so it's just my views and experiences

Just as a reference point - I ignored these lot from Day 1.

They were e-mailing an old e-mail address of mine and they were going into my Junk folder. This time round i haven't got a letter / e-mail or anything, so it appears that they do eventually give up.

Obviously some people want to approach this differently and are worried - but i don't waste an ounce of energy on it.

I chased Felicitas last time in February 2020 after threatening Mails from there director and Gladstone solicitors. I had already settled with HMRC and as such had there documentation stating that the scheme i unfortunately used DarwinPay were a tax avoidance/disguised re numeration scheme. Decided to get my MP involved who wrote about my case to the chancellor Phillip Hammond And he agreed so I cannot understand how the government have not cracked down on these outfits (maybe they are protected by Isle of Man laws).

I contacted the company employed me at the time and was supplied with Darwin/Halo bank account details along with every payment that was made for my services which included my expenses which you would not expect a loan company to supply.

Copies of all these documents were sent to Felicitas in March 2020 and in May of that year I received out of the blue a mail to say my loan had been Written Off.

Had previously also asked them for a signed copy of the loan agreement which they never sent as there was none as I definitely did not sign one. Whether the loan was Written Off as a consequence of all my investigations which I would like to pride myself it was or simply they had no supporting evidence of an actual loan agreement who knows.

The only definite thing is that despite Data Privacy Laws they have breached even trying to settle with these cockroaches will no stop them selling our data to the next bunch of low life's.
At 70 and on a state pension with health issues I am more worried about putting my lights and heating on so definitely will not be funding these assholes.

Not strictly true Sir ... I was with one of those schemes and I'm still receiving fantasy demands!

As others have already said, if Felicitas could have proven that any alleged debt was legitimate, then there's not a hope in hell that they would have been accepting a few pence in the pound to write it off.

If Felicitas had been able to prove any of their claims, they would not have "sold" anything on, they would be busily taking everyone to court of raking in millions.

In summary, I suspect this new crowd have as much chance of convincing a court that anything is legitimately owed as Felicitas did............in 18 months it'll be yet a new crowd trying the same again.

Open the letters to make sure they're not demands though, as we know that all these clowns are underhand.
