Hello all
A bit of a weird one - I received a letter from what appears to be HMRC.
There are a number of problems with it
I have no idea how to deal with this. Has anyone else received an a letter like this? Should I make a complaint? I find it hard to believe that at a time when people are killing themselves over such things that HMRC are letting these things go out...
A bit of a weird one - I received a letter from what appears to be HMRC.
There are a number of problems with it
- The letter was addressed to an address that I have not lived at for well over a decade
- The initials in the name do not belong to myself nor anyone in my family
- The National Insurance number was not mine
- The UTR was not mine
- The earnings made for the year 2017-18 contradicts the self-assessment made by my accountant on 17th December 2018. I was told that you can only make one self-assessment submission.
