Affiliate marketing question

So, I'm just starting up a website that will at some point be making sales with affiliate links (hopefully). But I've read various things about people saying you shouldn't put any affiliate links in your articles for the first three months, as google will just assume your website is solely for the money...

A bit of a weird one - I received a letter from what appears to be HMRC.

There are a number of problems with it

• The letter was addressed to an address that I have not lived at for well over a decade
• The initials in the name do not belong to myself
