        Not that I know of.

        Here are a few definitions:

        APN = Accelerated Payment Notice
        FN = Follower Notice
        TTP = Time To Pay
        JR = Judicial Review
        FTTT = First Tier Tax Tribunal.
        TAA = Transfer of Assets Abroad

        Hope this helps.

          Pension Contribution

          I received a notification of the intention to enquire into my tax return.
          Aware that this is not going to go away, I will be joining the Big Group in due course.
          In the meantime, I wonder whether any of you thought, approached, proposed or in any way tried to negotiate with HMRC so that the outstanding loan or at least part of it is nominated and paid into the pension fund. Contributions into personal pension schemes (subject to limits and timing) have no tax implication and in fairness HMRC should make a concession and allow this as part of settlement agreement?

            Kay24, I think you would be very lucky if this suggestion were to work.
            HMRC are applying the legislation retrospectively in order to pull you into their net to increase the tax take. It is unlikely that they will allow people to step back and become straightforward limited companies retrospectively.

              Hmmmm........ If they wouldn't allow the contribution to be nominated as if made by the employer then I could pay it myself whilst taking an advantage of carry over allowance from the last 3 years and claim the tax relief. I won't see the cash but at least it ends up in the pension pot instead of HMRC's pocket?

                Please take it from those of us who've been at it for 3 years+: the words "HMRC" and "fairness" have no business being used in the same sentence. Expect no fairness, but dirty tricks aplenty.
                Join Big Group now, and get on with the programme ASAP.
                The sooner you get rid of your delusion that HMRC cares about "fairness", the better for you. This is not the Revenue of your grandpa, this is a rogue organisation that will do anything and everything to "maximize the amout of tax collected" (their words). (and who, by the way, read these boards )

                  Please note this important message.

                  Big Group will begin the execution of its proposed settlement strategy in the next few days.

                  As a result we are closing Big Group to new joiners on 7th January 2017.

                  We will be reopening the group in mid April 2017 in order to explore what settlement is possible for those who have not used the current plan.

                  All existing members will be receiving an email today with more information, including the timing of a webinar later this week.
