can't do that far too exclusive, will have to call it something including our diversity how about the grey cliffs of Dover? Maybe Black & White Albion or BLalbion for short?

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

There's a lack of commercial perspective in this debate. Don't just give the new name away, think of the sponsorship opportunities! The white cliffs should look like the side of a formula one car, with the main naming rights auctioned off at the start of each parliament.

I wonder how much Google would pay for a seat on the UN Security Council?

How about "State 51", with a nice new stripey and starry national flag ?

Wales was part of the kingdom of England before the union with Scotland, so I assume it would remain so if that union is abolished.

Therefore the United Kingdom of England and Northern Ireland fits the bill.

As an aside, if Scotland gains independence, will it be a Kingdom (as it was before the union), a Republic, or a status similar to commonwealth countries like Australia (whatever that is called)? Has Alex Salmond opined on the matter? I haven't been paying attention to him.

and will the Duke of Edinburgh have to think of a new title?
