Quite a lot of unexplained UKIP bashing on this thread, notably from the ex-pat/working in EU crowd. Its disappointing when the debate turns into playing a game of chess against a pigeon.

Are you lot really afraid you'll lose your right to live and work in the EU?

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

My wife is Belgian so I will take up Belgian nationality. I would most likely be able to get a visa to work in Europe but maybe all the retired ex- pats in Spain may have a problem.Being in EU is like being in the army , you can't just leave. You have to negotiate your leaving terms and I believe that the conservatives would be better at negotiating a deal than UKIP who have spent the last few years insulting the EU

WHS, I shall get Dutch nationality, and yes, I'm afraid that otherwise I'd lose the right to live and work in the EU.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Well you wouldn't as such, you just wouldn't be able to do it without going through heaps of paperwork, like a citizen of country that is not in the EU, i.e. America. However as most international concerns would probably move many of their offices out of the UK to the mainland then presumably these companies would use ICTs in much the same way as they do for our brothers from the Indian subcontinent thereby making British workers the new bobs
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

WHS, I would most likely be able to obtain a visa here in Germany. And I get stamps on my passport too. Cool.

If the German project manager has to get you a visa then he would prefer to get a visa for Bob who is cheaper. Ideally the UK needs to end up in the same position as Norway and Switzerland where you almost automatically get a visa if you are offered a job.I don't believe that UKIP will be able to negotiate this.

I don't think thats true in Germany tbh, they are much keener on europeans and don't seem quite so cost driven. They seem to prefer a cultural match.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
