Have a look at the Subaru Legacy, very practical but also fun to drive and looks good too

How about an almost new, extremely low mileage Range Rover Sport with full service history? One previous owner....

Does raise an interesting question... If you want a marque why not get a Range Rover. You can get one with similar mileage to the other BMW/VW with ooodles more street cred...Originally posted by greenlake View PostHow about an almost new, extremely low mileage Range Rover Sport with full service history? When you find a car that meets your requirements (that the kids don't trash the interior of) please start on the cures for cancer, the common cold and obesity oh and bash off a working prototype for cold fusion in the afternoon.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostI have done a heck of a lot of research as I am thinking we need a car with the following features:
- Decent space in the back
- Don't lose the sport aspect (nice drive, look, interior)
- Very Economical and doesn't cost much to run
- Good re-sale value
- Good boot space, practical
- Reliable and robust
- 15-20k
Are there any suggestions for a car which would meet those requirements?
Either grow up, lose the badge/prestige obsession and accept you need a family car or run 2 cars with the associated costs.Comment

It's perfectly do-able if you remove the kids trashing aspect, which will happen to any car. And that includes badges.Originally posted by TykeMerc View PostWhen you find a car that meets your requirements (that the kids don't trash the interior of) please start on the cures for cancer, the common cold and obesity oh and bash off a working prototype for cold fusion in the afternoon.
